Jill has been Assistant Director of HR and Communications at Doncaster Council since 2011. She has almost 40 years’ experience predominantly in Local Government and has worked at a senior strategic leadership level for many years.
She is an experienced HR professional working at board level with responsibility for Organisational Transformation, Workforce Development, Human Resource Management, Communications and Engagement, Health, Safety and employee wellbeing.
Jill has previously held the role of Regional Chair of the Public Services People Managers’ Association (PPMA) for Yorkshire and Humberside for 4 years. She has an MSc in Strategic Personnel and Development and is a Fellow of the CIPD.
Jill has a real passion for coaching, mentoring and inspiring others to reach their full potential.
The Vice President’s Key Responsibilities
In general, each Vice President’s key responsibilities are as follows:
(i) to provide support to the President in providing highly visible leadership for the Association and to further the vision, values and objectives of the Association.
(ii) To ensure, together with the President and other Board members that the work of the association is undertaken according to our values.
(iii) To support the President in maintaining our existing relationships and building new relationships with partners, sponsors and other key stakeholders.
Other individual responsibilities are focused on the scope of each role. For example the Vice President: Regions is responsible for regional liaison and familiarisation with regional issues and ensuring that these are taken into account nationally, where appropriate.
