The awards are our annual opportunity to celebrate and share the fantastic work going on every day in our organisations.

We make no apologies for celebrating your success. Working in Public Service is increasingly demanding and challenging but profoundly rewarding.

The work of HR & OD colleagues ensures organisations succeed and deliver excellent services to all of our citizens.

PPMA Annual Conference

PPMA Annual Conference

Every year PPMA hosts our Annual Conference. It is located somewhere different each year to ensure we include our whole community in this national event.

The 3 day event includes a mixture of main stage and fringe sessions, which are led by a fantastic mix of speakers on the full range of topics that our community is engaged in. We also hold our Annual Gala Dinner on the 2nd night of conference, which is when we announce the winners or our Annual PPMA Excellence in People Management Awards.

Our Strategic Themes

Our Strategic Themes

Our Strategic Themes cover the areas of HR & OD practice that we believe our professional community should be focusing on so that our organisations are building workforces that can thrive in an ever more complex and changing world.

We’ve thought about our themes carefully. We wanted to create them so that they would be fit for the future but that we retain the ability to respond quickly to emerging issues. This means we focus on ‘doing stuff’ and not endlessly being distracted by what we’ve called the themes.

Our Regions

Our Regions

Our Regions are the lifeblood of the PPMA.

They provide the opportunity for our members to meet, share, exchange and learn from each other and their organisations.

The aim within each region is to provide a meeting, whether real or virtual, on a variety of HR and OD subject matters. These meetings give our members an opportunity to hear about latest issues, research, or showcase of work happening in the HR/OD world.

Let’s Talk: You – Our Talent offering

For many years PPMA has run hugely successful talent programmes which have significantly contributed to the development of HR & OD professionals.

Our Apprentice of the Year, Rising Stars and Peer into the Future programmes have been very well received. And in 2018 we added in two additional programmes – Tomorrow’s Talent and One to Watch.  Our offerings encompass all stages of your career, whether you are at the early, established or executive stages.

Non members can also access our programmes.
