#LetsImproveWorkplaceWellbeing Councils Collaboration – Mental Health Training for Managers Norfolk County Council Best Practice

In this session we welcome Patrick Lorenzen from Norfolk County Council, where they have perhaps quite differently implemented a MANDATORY mental health training for Managers.

We will get the opportunity to hear about the journey they have been on from discovery stage through to implementation and the results they have seen.

A little about our key note speaker: Patrick Lorenzen Health and Wellbeing Lead – Norfolk County Council

Paddy qualified as a nurse in 1995 and, after 4 years of “proper nurse” in an acute hospitals (in a uniform), moved to occupational health. Whilst completing his degree in occupational health nursing he gained experience in a variety of health care, emergency service and manufacturing settings. Once he had completed his degree he spent a short time working for Anglian Windows before moving to Norfolk County Council in 2004. But his 18 years at the council have been anything but the same and boring. Political pressures, budget pressures, organisational restructures and (of course) COVID have brought a constant variety of challenges to his door.

Co-hosting the webinar are Dr Sabrina Robinson, Wellbeing Lead from Essex County Council and Liz Mulhall-Brewer, Wellbeing Lead from Novuna
