Hello PPMA members and friends
At our recent Annual Conference in Birmingham Pam Parkes took over the reigns as President from Gordon McFarlane.
Firstly we’d like to thank Gordon for the fantastic job he has done over the last 2 years and if you missed his blog post where he talked about his time as president you can read it here.
At the conference Gordon also shared the news that his time as President has made him reflect on what he wants to do in the future and he’s decided that instead of the wider role he has now at Leicestershire CC, he wants to focus on his passion which is HR and will be moving to Newham Council as HRD in June.
We wish him the very best of luck and know that he will do an amazing job there – they are very lucky to have him. The other great news is that he had agreed to stay on at the PPMA as a senior board member, so he will still have a huge impact on the future of our great Association.
During the conference we took the opportunity to speak with Pam about what her key objectives are for the PPMA over the next 2 years and she shares these with us in the video below.
We’re really looking forward to having Pam at the helm and know that our future is in very safe hands!
