Amanda is a seasoned HR executive specialising in people-led transformation, culture change, and organisational development. With over 25 years of experience across the public, private, and third sectors, she has held senior roles including People & Transformation Director at CIPD. She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) board and contributes to the People, Culture and Inclusion Committee at NCVO. Amanda combines strategic insight with a commitment to inclusive, evidence-based people practices.


Trudy BirtwellDirector for Learning, Solace
Trudy has been with Solace since 2011 and is Director of Learning, leading their work on professional development, including leadership and management programmes at national, regional and local level. She worked with the LGA and MHCLG to create the Chief Executive Development Framework and Foundation Programme for Local Government Chief Executives. A professional HR/OD practitioner with over 25 years’ experience at board and executive level, Trudy has extensive experience developing partnerships that deliver improved outcomes for people and places. A former Director at the Homes and Communities Agency, she led their external skills and capacity building offer. A Chartered Fellow of CIPD, Trudy specialises in leadership and organisational development and is a qualified business and executive coach.
