Aley is a Partner in the Employment division, leading a team that advises local government, health, police, fire, and social care clients on comprehensive employment law issues. He began his career in local government and has worked as a consultant with Somerset, Leeds, South Gloucestershire, Sandwell and many other Councils, and has delivered complex people-led change across policing and central government.


Steve Davies London Regional Employers’ Secretary, PPMA board member
Steve Davies is HR Director and Regional Employers Secretary for London Councils, supporting London Boroughs to improve London’s public services. He supports sharing of best practice and networking of London boroughs HR services and manages provision of HR metrics and analytics for several employers’ regions. Steve has worked for several London boroughs in senior and head of HR roles for over 25 years. He is a past president of the PPMA and currently serves on the PPMA board as treasurer and secretary.
