After a fantastic 2 days at the Hilton Templepatrick with all of our very talented finalists, we’d like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who took part in our very first Rising Star and One to Watch competition in Northern Ireland. And a very well deserved CONGRATULATIONS to our winners.

So much talent radiated from the two days of coaching and competition it was a difficult task for our judges to decide our final winner but in the end they awarded Mary McLaughlin representing Derry City and Stranbane District Council with our One to Watch and Pauline Greer representing Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council with Rising Star of the Year. That in no way diminishes the brilliance of the other exceptional finalists who all show cased their skills and abilities brilliantly. We were blown away by their individual talent and truly inspirational personal stories.

We cannot wait to celebrate their win along with all our other talent programme winners at this year’s PPMA Conference to held on 30th March  – 1st April at The Midland Manchester.

Mary and Pauline were picked from a fantastic line up of finalists and they are listed below:

Karen Bothwell – Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council

Pauline Greer – Antrim & Newtonabbey Borough Council

Donna Mackle – Newry, Mourne & Down District Council

Lauryn McAleese – Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council
