Video Interview – Martin Rayson, PPMA President Talks About His Vision For The PPMA

Earlier this week we caught up with our PPMA President Martin Rayson to find out how the first part of his year ‘in office’ has gone. In this 5 minute video Martin shares with us the highs and lows of his year so far and he also outlines his vision for the Association both now and in the future.

I loved the video up date Martin…well done on doing something different and engaging…it is great to be able to hear what great work colleagues all over the country have been up to and helps show case the benefits of being a member of PPMA.

Thanks Leatham. I hope what comes across is the part that the PPMA can play in helping reshape public sector organisations, the only way long-term that we can sustain the services people desperately need. The work that you are doing with others to identify the “Rising Stars” of the future is crucial if HR is to cement its plaace at the heart of public sector change.

Martin, love the use of video to deliver messages. So engaging and I listened to it whilst doing other things too, so could multi task! I think the priorities over the coming year are spot on. Thank you for your continued support and leadership for PPMA members and for keeping us heading in the right direction 🙂

Martin – agree with the comments about this being a good approach to getting the message across. What I particularly liked was the emphasis on the need to get our heads above the parapet – both in terms of actually looking to the future but also the need to be clear about our values and position; the comments about collaborative approaches being key to success and the reference to public services rather than just a local gov focus. Keep up the good work.

    Thanks Rita
Watch out for the publication of the joint research with the CIPD later this week, part of a range of work the PPMA is undertaking, with others, to consider fundamental issues about the future of the public sector workforce.

Martin – I also thought the video was excellent and has been a great way to get message across of the benefits of becoming a PPMA member

Thanks Fiona. I think it is exactly the right time for people to join the PPMA. We can provide the support, thought ledaership and opportunities for collaboration that people need. Please do use the video or the new leaflet to promote the PPMA to your networks.
