In these challenging times of public service retrenchment, organisational transformation and organisation re-design, you might find yourself needing to consult some weighty legislative tomes to make sure you stay on the right side of the law…the complexities of TUPE, redundancy consultation, handling strike action (heaven forbid) and the new Equality Act can be labyrinthine, even for some of the most seasoned and experienced HR professionals.

However a solution is close at hand as the Local Government Employers organisation has teamed up with our blog site producer Ten Horizon to produce a series of very user friendly and easy to access video podcast guides on how to tackle tricky HR issues and stay on the right side of the law. This should be a real benefit to being a PPMA member and avoids costly consultation with employment lawyers.

The video is highly engaging and is presented by two legal experts from Local Government Employers. It follows a very simple question and answer format and the questions asked are those that typically arise and can trip the best of us up. And the answers (as you will see) are provided in a very clear and succinct way. The podcasts will be produced quarterly and the next edition will be available mid December.
