Professor Beverly Alimo-Metcalfe
PhD, MBA, MSC, CPsychol, FBPS and Founding Director of Real World Group
Beverly co-founded Real World Group with Dr John Alban-Metcalfe in 2001, and remains Emeritus Professor of Leadership Studies at the University of Leeds.
Beverly has spent over 25 years in research and consultancy supporting the leadership development of individuals, and increasing leadership capacity in organisations. She is a Chartered Organisational Psychologist and Fellow of the British Psychological Society and has a strong international reputation for her research.
Her passion is for the ethical application of ‘inclusive’ leadership at all levels in organisations, and supporting individuals and organisations to become more engaging, innovative, collaborative and effective. She has a strong reputation for research and practice related to diversity and leadership and is a Patron of Women in Management.
Beverly spends much of her time presenting at conferences and seminars across the world and is the author of various articles and book chapters on leadership. Over the years she has been advisor to several national boards, including the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills MacLeod Review of Employee Engagement, the Department of Health’s QIPP, and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Academic Advisory Council.
