We have our finalists!

Following two days of coaching and intense competition at Warwick last week we are proud to announce our two Rising Stars finalists for 2016.


Nick Earley from Orbis, the partnership between East Sussex and Surrey County Councils and Ashleigh Richards from Bristol City Council (both seen above).

Judges Nick Heckscher, Operations Director at ManpowerGroup; Suzanne Hudson, Senior Advisor at the LGA and Imogeen Denton, Equality & Community Relations Lead for Nottingham City Council and winner of Rising Stars 2015 scored participants in six different categories before making their unanimous decision on the final day.

The event was attended by Sue Evans, Vice President of the PPMA, who offered coaching and feedback to our stars throughout. Sue said that spending two days in the company of such an inspiring group of young people left her with a real sense of pride and well-being and that she was confident the future of HR in the public service was bright!


As well as our finalists being announced, Aisha Iqbal; Nottingham City Council won the “Outstanding Development” award and Kim Larkin; Orbis partnership between East Sussex and Surrey County Councils won the “spirit of Rising Stars” award (both seen above).

Nick and Ashleigh will now battle for the public vote before the overall winner is announced at the annual Charity Awards dinner at the PPMA seminar in Birmingham on 22nd June 2016.
