Sue Evans

The association’s Past President is primarily responsible for acting as an advisor to the President and Vice-President(s) in furthering the aims and objectives of the Association and provide additional support, as necessary.

Our Past President is Sue Evans.

Sue is a people professional with over 30 years of public service experience gained from a career as a teacher, Army Officer, HR and Organisational Development leader. It is her teaching skills that have proven to be the most useful and transferable throughout a career spent focussing on people and leadership, learning and development in the Army and in both central and local government.

Sue’s term ends on April 27th 2017 when Caroline Nugent completes her Presidential term.

The Past President’s Key Responsibilities


The Past President’s key responsibilities are:

(i) To act as an adviser to the President and Vice-President in furthering the aims and objectives of the Association and give support, as necessary.

(ii) To assist the Vice President, in conjunction with the Treasurer and other members of the Annual Seminar Committee to ensure that appropriate financial records are kept in respect of the Annual Seminar and proper accounts are presented both for audit purposes and Policy Board consideration in due course.

(iii) To ensure a timely and successful transition from the current President to the new President.
