Caroline Nugent 

Caroline has been the Director of HR and OD at oneSource, a shared back office of 1,300 staff for the London Boroughs of Havering ,Newham and Bexley for the last 8 years.  In the same way that she is embarking on ventures new as our immediate Past President, she is also starting a new phase in her career. From June, she will be the HR Director for the Financial Ombudsman Service. With over 25 years of experience in HR, Caroline understands the challenge of workforce and OD issues during significant organisational change. Caroline has written numerous articles and works closely with external partners and was shortlisted for Personnel Today HR Director of the Year 2016.

The Past President’s Key Responsibilities


The Past President’s key responsibilities are:

(i) To act as an adviser to the President and Vice-President in furthering the aims and objectives of the Association and give support, as necessary.

(ii) To assist the Vice President, in conjunction with the Treasurer and other members of the Annual Seminar Committee to ensure that appropriate financial records are kept in respect of the Annual Seminar and proper accounts are presented both for audit purposes and Policy Board consideration in due course.

(iii) To ensure a timely and successful transition from the current President to the new President.
