Steve is a long standing member of the PPMA Policy Board and took on the Treasurer role in 2016.  He also took over Secretarial responsibilities with the retirement of Stuart Elrick.  Alongside these responsibilities, Steve is the current Chair of the PPMA London and South East Region.  Steve is a highly respected and experienced HR Director, having worked across a number of London Boroughs.  Steve is now the Head of Regional Employers for London Councils where he acts as the Strategic workforce lead for London Councils, supporting London Boroughs to improve London’s public services across the capital through delivery, commissioning, management, transformation and innovation. He also acts as the regional employer secretary for London Borough basic employment terms and conditions framework.

The Honorary Treasurer’s Key Responsibilities


The Honorary Treasurer’s key responsibilities are:

(i) To maintain and prepare, annually, a detailed statement of accounts made up to the end of the financial year and submit to the Honorary Auditors. And after audit to present the accounts to the last Policy Board before the AGM and then to the AGM in the following March/April.

(ii) To maintain and seek to improve financial and commercial management practices and report any proposals for change to the Policy Board and/or the AGM.
