SUMMARY:Diversity in the Public Sector – The impact on Inclusion since George Floyd’s murder. With Penna
DESCRIPTION:Penna and Inclusive Companies invite you to join the debate, and share best practice as we celebrate Black History Month.\n\nWe will hear from some great speakers and share experiences as we look at the inequalities that have been brought to the forefront as a result of the murder George Floyd and the Covid-19 pandemic. Penna invite you to join us as we strike this crucial conversation.\n\nWhere: 10 Bishops Square, London E1 6EG\nWhen: Tuesday 11th October 2022\nTime: 09.30am – 14.00pm\nThe murder of George Floyd and the inequalities brought to light by the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020, have seen organisations across all sectors seek to address inclusion and improve the diversity of their workforce. As the downturn in the economy becomes ever more real, we ask:\n\nWhat lessons have been learned since the murder of George Floyd? What impact has this had?\nCan the public sector learn from the private sector with regard to diversity recruitment?\nHow can we ensure that best practice across the sector continues, even in times of austerity?\n\nBefore the 2008 financial crash, the public sector – especially local government organisations, were generally seen as pioneers in the field of diversity; responding to communities and effectively building teams reflective of the societies and communities they served. Since the crash however, the Private Sector has been more innovative in ensuring and supporting diversity and inclusion.\nPenna and Inclusive Companies invite you to join us as we learn from both private and public sector leaders about their work in diversity and inclusion.\n\nWe would be thrilled to have you join us!\n\n*Please note this event is on a ‘first come first served’ basis*\n
