SUMMARY:‘How can social ventures help us reimagine the delivery of public services?’ by OFFPLOY
DESCRIPTION:\n\nOur public services face an unprecedented set of challenges which have been exacerbated by Covid-19. In response to the pandemic, we’ve been forced to adopt new delivery methods within our public services, while pre-existing plans towards digitalisation have been accelerated. While it is too early to judge the success of such transformations, it is clear there are more opportunities and an increased willingness to experiment in the delivery of our public serves so that they better serve those who depend on them the most. This is why Catch22 believes that this crisis offers a rare opportunity to reimagine how public services are delivered. Based on our experience, we also strongly believe that social ventures have a role to play in this moment of change.\nJacob Hill, managing director of Offploy will be speaking on a panel discussion followed by breakout Q&A sessions alongside three other social venture founders on Catch22’s Incubate, Accelerate, Amplify programme. They will cover a wide range of topics ranging from the current funding and investment landscape from the social venture perspective to the enabling ecosystem that is needed to support public service focused ventures. The conversation will be facilitated by frontline delivery experts.\n
