It’s only 3 working days to go #PPMAHR18.
As you know every year, our Annual Gala Dinner provides us with an opportunity to raise money for some very special organisations. This year we have selected two hugely deserving organisations:
Karma Nirvana, which is an award-winning British human rights charity supporting victims of honour-based abuse and forced marriage. It was founded in 1993 by our conference keynote speaker. Jasvinder Sanghera CBE is a survivor, activist and author who escaped a forced marriage by running away from home at age 16 years old. Her charity and team do some really incredible work which includes advocacy, education, lobbying government.
Queenscourt Hospice enables people to be cared for in their preferred place whilst being able to access the services required during the last stages of their life. Very often people want to be at home for their passing; but for too many of them it isn’t possible.
This fabulous organisation is based on the North West and supports families in West Lancashire, Southport and Formby. They are leading the way in enabling people to die with dignity at home.
West Lancashire is proud that it exceeds that national average for people dying a good death at home.
We have some incredible raffle prizes that have been donated by our wonderful sponsors and friends. All proceeds of the raffle will be split between these fantastic charities. Thank you in advance of your donations – they will substantially contribute to the work of these organisations.
