Wales

The PPMA Wales branch currently organises events and activities jointly with the Local Government Human Resources Directors Network Wales in order to maximise resources over such a wide geographical area.

As the recently appointed Chair of the Branch I am really keen to encourage new PPMA members and to strengthen HR links across the wider welsh public sector and with other professional bodies. Over the last year some of our partnership work has included: -

  • Development of workforce planning support
  • Strengthening of change management capacity across the region
  • Building of a Public Sector Career Transition Unit
  • Maintenance of a range of strategic networks
  • Sharing responses to budget pressures across local government
