East of England PPMA is here to support its members with their professional development needs. It also provides safe and stimulating networking opportunities where individuals can come together, discuss and share issues, ideas, worries and aspirations.
The region is proud to boast the largest membership outside of London and to claim several past presidents amongst it alumni.
A number of East of England members serve on the PPMA policy board. Here they are able to influence PPMA's position as thought leaders and champions of HR strategy in the Public sector.
It is really important however that we develop and grow the regional offer around what you our members are telling us is important to you.
Currently we are revamping the meeting schedule and replacing this with more action orientated events dealing with live issues that are keeping us all awake at night.
We are also thinking seriously about the venue for our events and how we meet the needs of our younger aspiring members as they embark on their HR careers.
You can watch this space to see how these ideas grow and evolve but if HR in Public services really matters to you and you want an opportunity to influence all our futures please get in touch to see how you can help.
Public Sector Reform – The Changing Nature of our Workforce
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the PWC offices in London on Friday 8th November.
It was great to take some time out to reflect on current issues, to hear from PWC about global trends and predictions; and to share thinking and ideas with colleagues.
I think everyone went away with at least one practical idea to follow up or a new contact to have further conversations with.
A big thank you to Juliet Stuttard from PWC who ran the event for us and to Mel Wood for co-designing the event.
If anyone would like a copy of the slides that were available on the day please get in touch.
