2010 PPMA ANNUAL CONFERENCE

22-23 MARCH 2010

London’s Calling. . . .

We are delighted to announce that the PPMA 2010 conference will be staged at the prestigious and very spacious London Hilton Metropole Hotel in Paddington on the Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 March.

Our programme for the event is almost complete and to give you a flavour of what is to come we are proud to announce one of our key speakers.

Dr Dennis Kimbro is renowned in the United States as one of the most powerful and inspirational speakers on the conference circuit. He has proved so popular with the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR) he has been asked to provide keynote addresses for their national conference for the past two years, and on both occasions received spontaneous standing ovations. Dr Kimbro has kindly agreed to cross the Atlantic to provide the opening keynote speech for the PPMA 2010 conference in London and he will speak on the subject of developing effective leaders for the future – this being highly topical and relevant to our conference theme of the Global Skills Race.
Few individuals impact the day-to-day management of American organisations and institutions as Dr Kimbro . A tireless educator, author, and university school professor, Dr Kimbro is universally characterised as one of the most insightful and scholarly writers in the field of management today.
As a lecturer and researcher in the field of management, entrepreneurship and human potential, he encourages his readers to look within to extract the keys that underlie all accomplishment. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Oklahoma, and a doctorate from North Western University where he studied wealth and poverty among underdeveloped countries.
With his course work behind him, Dr Kimbro combed the country interviewing scores of America’s most notable achievers. Eventually his inquisition led to the question: How can impoverished black Americans pull themselves out of their poverty and reach their full potential? Many of the lessons learned Dr Kimbro can be equally relevant and applicable to the UK as we wrestle to overcome recession, worklessness, social exclusion and skills deficits.
Look out for more information on our conference and for details of early bird booking discounts along with block booking discounts which will shortly be available on our website.
