Annual Report 2009

A regional meeting took place on the 24th July in Newbury, we had two presentations the first one from Bracknell Forest on the Flexible Benefits, the second presentation on the work of the HR Transformation network. Unfortunately, the meeting was not well attended due to a number of last minute cancellations. It was agreed that to encourage attendance the regional meetings would be set on a six-monthly basis supported by regular updates by the Chair after each Policy Board meeting.

The Chair updated the region via e-mail after the September Policy Board – which included further information on Project leads. The next meeting was scheduled for 6 February – which included a facilitated discussion by Gillian Hibberd on the economic downturn and a ‘training session’ on communicating through difficult times (crucial conversations). Unfortunately this had to be postponed because of the severe weather conditions and this is being re-scheduled for early April. A second meeting is planned for early October. Membership levels have been maintained.
