It has been a great honour and a huge privilege to have had the opportunity to serve as PPMA President. Throughout my year as President, Martin and I have been united in our commitment to work together to ensure that there is continuity and clarity of purpose, a focus on the issues that matter and that our members see real value and relevance on what the PPMA is doing on their behalf. As Martin moves on to be President and Richard Crouch takes up his role as Vice President, I am committed to continuing to do all that I can to support them in those roles.
 

I know that the role of President has many demands and so I have committed to carry out a range of specific activities that will support Martin in his year as President.
 

PPMA is a membership organisation, a voluntary association. In these challenging times, it is even more important that we work together on people management issues facing the public sector and bring to bear our collective power and influence. As immediate past president I will continue to work with the other Principal Officers and Policy Board to sustain and develop PPMA and support our members.
