Associate Membership (Public Sector)

Memberships run annually from the 1st July. Any members joining after 1st January will receive a discount for the first year.

Associate Membership of the Association is open to the following Public Sector posts

a)  Any person working in HR who is employed by

  • Police, Fire, Civil Defence Authorities and Education
  • Probation and associated services e.g. Magistrates Courts
  • National and Regional Employers Organisations, Local Government Association, Improvement and Development Agency and Regional Development Agencies
  • Government Departments, Civil Service, NDPB’s (non departmental public bodies)
  • Other linked public sector organisations.
     

b)  Existing Full Members of the Association who are transferred to the private sector under TUPE but who continue to predominantly provide services to the public sector only are also eligible under this category.

Please Note

Associate and Affiliate members enjoy the same benefits as Full Members.  They are entitled to take part in the full range of the Association’s activities except that they are not eligible to vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) or to be the Chair of a Region or a Principal Officer.
